2011 Thermal Ball

Post date: Apr 30, 2012 11:44:01 AM

The 2011 Thermal Ball is almost upon us again. For those of you who don't know what the Thermal Ball is all about here's a little description:

Its the biggest night on the ODC calendar. We head out into the bush, pitch a tent, build a fire, BBQ some meat/imitation meat and drink many, many beers/ciders/wines/home-brews etc. The Ball is a great way to get to know your fellow club members, and is available to ODC members and partners, and normally anyone who wishes to come (though I wouldn't suggest children). Many Thermal Ballers participate in the traditional Thermal Parade (there is a really good range of stripy ones from most outdoor stores) where dressing up in thermals is not only as a fashion statement and a chance to win a great prize, but also to keep warm. The wackier the better!

There will be games with prizes, loud music and of course the Parade. The date is Sat 8th October 2011, in the Avon Valley, 1.5 hrs north of Perth. Tickets are $30, and this goes back into supporting the ball and hiring the equipment (and possibly even breakfast the next day) so its great value for money!! Any left over goes back to the club.

Please download the poster for more details, tickets can be purchased from your local ODC officer, or by contacting me at [email]
