  Caffeinated Adventure Racing
Bringing Adventure Races to Western Australia
Caffeinated Adventure Racing is a Perth based group of dedicated Western Australian Adventure Racing enthusiasts with the vision of bringing more AR choice to Western Australia.

We will be bringing you the Espresso 24-hour race in July 2007. The Espresso will be a traditional format, 24 hour race for teams of four. Each team while navigating will trek/run, mountain bike and kayak across a challenging course in the South West of Western Australia.

  Rat Race
Finally an adventure race for everyone in your own back yard as Rat Race Australia is excited to announce Perth as part of the Australian Rat Race series which will bring the most exciting participation adventure race to the heart of the city.

If you have had a passion for adventure, mixed with fun and some cracking challenges then the Rat Race is for you. Teams of three will navigate, ride, paddle and abseil their way around the city on a course that is only revealed minutes before the race. Forrest Place will host the event with plenty of action and entertainment but the secrets of the city that our sneaky rat race planners will reveal is what you will talk about.

Rat Race Australia course designer, David Wolf said, “Perth is an amazing city for the Rat Race with some signature venues for the adventure teams and some unbelievable locations that are hidden or unused and ideal for ratification.”

“A mix of a team adventure race, awesome challenges and great fun smack bang in the middle of the city of Perth is super exciting and we can’t wait to unleash the rat racers.” David Wolf said.

  Teva Adventure Series
If you're new to adventure racing or a complete novice, then this is a great event to start with. It's a lot of fun and you'll be able to practice important adventure racing skills such as team work, communication, coping with the unexpected and basic navigation.

  Mountain Designs Great Southern Adventure Race
Rapid Ascent organises multisport races, but will also organise its first adventure race in WA in 2008 together with Mountain Designs.

It's called ‘Mountain Designs Great Southern Adventure Race’ and it will be held on September 20/21, 2008.

Western Australia’s ‘Great Southern’ will serve as the centerpiece for two days of full-throttle fun were teams of 4 will cover over 200km of varied low elevation and spectacular mountainous terrain navigating their way by foot, mountain biking, ocean/river paddling, and rappelling, while strictly respecting the natural environment.

Not your stock hammerfest crud, the Mountain Designs GSAR serves up a 12 stage action-packed itinerary that will satisfy your thirst for adventure and wow athletes of all ability out to push the limits of their sport and the boundaries of their experience. Teams of 4 with only 3 on the course at any one time will race continuously until days end where you’ll pit-stop to feast and share stories with your race hardened comrades and support crews then bank some well earned z’s before breaking camp at dawn for a hard-charging scramble to the finish line. Hooray!

Sprint Events
BlackHeart Events Adventure Racing Sprints are a super-fun way to get into Adventure Racing, and a great way to develop your skills and fitness for that next big adventure challenge.

Teams of 2 will be challenged to a short version of a traditional Adventure Race, involving navigating around a course via kayak, mountain bike and foot. In most cases, competitors can choose between a short course or a long course.

24hr or 12hr races
BlackHeart Events 24-Hour Adventure Racing Series will see teams of 2 compete in a challenging, longer format Adventure Race, where you can expect lots of variety, scenery and surprises. Typical race will cover around 130km of awesome terrain, which will be traversed by means of mountain bike, kayak and foot.

Not quite up to 24 hours? Try the shorter version of the race, a 12 Hour Adventure race, great for those limited by time, not ready for the sleep deprivation, or just looking for a fun day of adventure with family or friends.

  WeightWatchers Urban Max Adventure
he Urban Max is part adventure race, part scavenger hunt with a mix of the amazing race. It is a completely new format of racing that will take teams of two through the heart of the host city. Competitors will get to visit some of the cities most famous landmarks, as well as suburban areas, while completing a variety of activities along the way.

This event is for all skill and fitness levels, with a number of the activities needing more brainpower than muscle. Speed alone will not get you over the line first!

Teams will be allowed to use various forms of public transport to cover longer distances. No taxis or any mode of private transport is allowed, including bikes, roller blades, etc. Teams will be disqualified if they are found using prohibited modes of transport.

  XPD
XPD is Australia’s own expedition length adventure race. Up to 80 teams of four from Australia and overseas will trek, mountain bike, kayak and snorkel to complete this world renowned expedition. Edition 3 of XPD will take competitors through “Reef, Rainforest and Outback” on their 700km journey. They will experience the majestic Whitsunday Islands, lush highland rainforests and the harsh Queensland outback.

  Hells Bells
Hells Bells is a 24hr adventure race that has been challenging and inspiring adventurers since 2004.
The Hells Bells adventure race involves up to 24hrs of non-stop endurance racing in the disciplines of trekking, mountain biking and kayaking. Teams of three must work together to navigate their way through a 100+km course that is only revealed to them three hours before the race begins. The Hells Bells adventure race requires no support crews and all boats are provided.

  Geoquest
Mountain Designs GeoQuest 48hr is Australia's premier adventure race. It involves 48hrs of non-stop endurance racing in the major disciplines of trekking, mountain biking and kayaking. Mixed, Male or Female teams of four must navigate their way through an arduous 200+km course that is only revealed to them the evening before the race. The Mountain Designs GeoQuest is held annually on the Queens Birthday long weekend in June. The race is moved each year to a different location with exciting new challenges for the teams.

The Geo-Half adventure race is run at the same time as the Mountain Designs GeoQuest. It covers only half the distance but teams have the full 48hrs to complete it. The legs will be challenging, but with the additional time available to complete the half course, teams have a greater chance to reach the finish line. It is NOT a 24hr race; you have the full 48 hours to complete the course. Boats, paddles and PFDs are provided.

An extremely challenging, but ultimately very rewarding expedition length (5 days) adventure race of over 400km in length.
